Hanwha Robotics has officially been recognized for its artificial intelligence (AI) vision capabilities in the robotics sector.

The company announced on the 28th that it has been designated as an AI Factory Specialized Company by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) and the Korea Evaluation Institute of Industrial Technology (KEIT).

The AI Factory Specialized Company designation program identifies and supports companies developing and supplying AI autonomous manufacturing technologies. Companies are selected after a comprehensive evaluation of their AI expertise, supply track record, and growth strategies.

Hanwha Robotics was recognized in the Equipment and Robotics category. Selected companies receive preferential scoring when applying for government projects, and the certification is valid until August 10, 2027.

The certified technology, “Robot AI Vision,” is a software platform that enables collaborative robots to intelligently perceive their environment and execute tasks. Hanwha Robotics’ proven supply record in key industries such as automotive, semiconductors, and shipbuilding, as well as its patents in deep-learning-based image recognition, were highlighted as strengths.

Building on this external recognition, Hanwha Robotics plans to continue R&D investments and expand its influence across domestic manufacturing. The company will particularly focus on AI vision-based safety solutions, industry-optimized applications, and next-generation technologies such as Physical AI, which enables robots to interact with physical environments.
